We do not sell them. For a nominal fee, we can acquire them for you if they are available from a verified plans service. "

While this is posted on every page of the site (the 'we don't sell plans' part) in some form or fashion, there are still questions. It's understandable. That's why, to save time (for me and you in the long run), here are some sites and methods of finding plans services to get your plans.

1.) Search Engines: This is the main method of finding plans. You can narrow down your search by using some simple additions.

Quotation marks ("")- Use these around your intended phrase ( e.g."RCM Plans") to just have the engine find keywords that only have "RCM Plans" in them.

AND- Use this with your quotation marks if your search comes up short. (e.g. "RCM" AND "Plans") This widens the field a little, as some sites use different terminology.

Popular search engines: Google, Yahoo! , Dogpile

2.) RCUniverse.com: The mecca of all things radio controlled. You can post what plans you're looking for in the forum. If somebody knows, they'll tell you. You'll need to sign up for a membership for this one (if you want to post in the forum), but it's worth it. It's also a great place to just do some general RC related discussion.

Site: RCUniverse.com
(Look for us under Action Ed ;)

3.) The Plans Manufacturer: It's hard to find the website of the actual plans manufacturer, so here're some of the sites.

Flying Models: http://www.flying-models.com/

Model Activity Press: http://www.modelactivitypress.com/fs_frameset1.htm

RCM: http://www.rcmmagazine.com/

Model Airplane News: http://www.rcstore.com/

Nexus: http://www.hhc.co.uk/pages/nexusdirect.cgi

RC Scale International: http://www.rcscaleinternational.com
(or) http://www.traplethouse.com/index2.html

Now for something completely different...

Bored? My name is Jes. For the most part, I will be the mouthpiece for this project. Yes, I am a girl.

My boss's name is Eddie, Ed, or Action Ed if you were prefer. He's the one who knows a LOT more about this stuff than I do, as he's been doing this since before I was born. 43 years of experience in model control airplanes. So yeah, he knows what he's talking about.

You'll see some pictures, how to articles, or whatever else piques our interest.

Comments are welcome...e-mails, replies, heck, even snail mail. Because feedback is cool. And we want to know if you guys and girls like our little blog.

Occasionally, if not a lot, you will probably see Lazer Works being mentioned. This is our bread and butter. Lazer Works is a site that caters to the laser cutting of short kits for model airplanes. A lot of these are vintage so you probably won't see these around.

We also do engraving, which, to me personally, is pretty dern cool. You can do a lot of awesome stuff with that laser. But more about that later (or you could just check out the site for examples (*winkwink, nudgenudge*)).

I don't want this to sound like a walking advertisement but we are a business, so there's going to be some promo. But don't worry, it shouldn't be too painful.

So I end this post with a "hello" and a welcome to The Cutting Edge. Take a look around, grab some pretzels, and let the good times...fly. Heh.
